Jerejak Island

assalamualaikum,

All praises to Allah,
despite of the money matters and this and that
we finally made this trip reality.
we took a student's package which offered five activities at a cheap price, RM 68.

All 5 activities took only one n a half hour to finish and we were given free lunch.
actually, we planned to take the 5.30 pm boat but we decided to go back earlier since there was nothing interesting in the island except the outdoor activities. we could not swim at the beach since the water was smelly and not suitable for swimming.

all in all,
it's not worth the amount we paid but at least, we had an experience of going to Jerejak Island.

*          *         *

finally,
after 4 years of studying
i finally got the opportunity to explore the beautiful places in Penang.

it started from the 2 months practicum in Balik Pulau.

as compared to other friends who were doing their practicum in Georgetown, we needed to pay more for rental and etc. but, the experiences were priceless.

we managed to do two things at one time. exploring Penang while completing our hectic practicum journey.

alhamdulillah.

let pictures do the talking.

while waiting for our speed boat

the scenery from Jerejak Island

the scenery from the jetty

wanna know more about the history of the place. checkout at the official page.

till then.

A tale of a boy

Assalamualaikum,

“One way to open your eyes is to ask yourself, 'What if I had never seen this before? What if I knew I would never see it again?'”
-Rachel Carson-

there was a boy who successfully opened my eyes. His name was Aiman.  The only thing that made me remember of him was naughty/ignorant.

kids these days were different than us when we're young. the way they think.  the way they behave. the way they show their respect to the adults n etc.

i was once a kid who was brought up in a village far away from a luxury life. i had never ever had any chance to taste the crunchiness of KFC chicken until i was in year 5.

i was a kampung girl who loved to play boyish games. i loved fishing.

i was a girl who walked to school everyday until we moved to Kamunting.

I was a girl who always respected my teacher. dulu la. sekarang. dalam kelas sembang dok belakang sekali main phone. haha. ampun!

Aiman and I were two different person but we were brought up in almost similar environment

tapi, tak boleh compare sangat la kan. zaman berubah.

He was the one who gave me the card that I pasted on my blog in the previous post. What made me excited/happy when I received the card and read his wish was he voluntarily said sorry and even expressed his forgiveness and begged me to return to the school and taught him.

yelah, when i was teaching him for about 8 weeks, I never expected him to say sorry or even do my work cz he always refused. It was either he would disturb his classmates or make annoying faces or imitate my words and actions.

The first person whom I would expressed my anger to was him. how could I hold my anger when someone was imitating my words and actions in front of me? *geram*

ampun. i always made him stand up. in front of his classmates.

entahlah.  i wasn't a good teacher either cz i know nothing to do except making him stand up in one corner.

wait!  when i asked him to make puppets and story book, he could concentrate and stay focus till the end of the  lesson. meaning, he loved hands on activities rather than listening to lectures and completing worksheets.

but, i had to cater with 23 humans. How could I keep my eyes only on him and prepared hands on activities for each and every lesson. tell me how!.

I sometimes asked him, 'what's your problem, Aiman?'. He would smile like he did nothing wrong whilst the others would shout, he was lazy not only in your class, teacher!

He was a clever boy  but sadly, he suffered from a serious disease known as pencil phobia. pemalas nak pegang pencil. grrr.

i dunno what else to do with him but he successfully carved a long lasting memory in my cerebral cortex.

kids are special. he is one of those special human beings.

May Allah protect him.

i couldn't find the pause button.

what could i do was to savour the experience.

Pantai Malindo

assalamualaikum,

since the practicum journey has officially ended, let's welcome a new journey. journey of a student. living inside the fancy fences.

stop!

i'm here to share a few pictures upon our second visit to Pantai Malindo. as usual, we went there for to witness the beautiful sunset. we loved it. we loved the beautiful breathtaking view of the sunset. you could see the movement of the light rays. from bright yellow rays to red. i felt blessed for the opportunity. alhamdulillah. i'm gonna miss it.

forgive me, i'm lazy to edit my pictures and here you are. look how wonderful the scenery. subhanallah. it was a discreet place and not many people knew that place.

luckily, our house was just 5 minutes away from Pantai Malindo. that was why we had no problem to hit the road late in the afternoon and quickly drove back for maghrib prayers. if not, we won't come. yelah. maghrib is just short.

till then,

end of the second practicum

assalamualaikum,

indeed, it was the best experience i had ever had. life is too short to grumble at almost everything. let's take everything that happened as a challenge and a way to be a better person.

i couldn't wait to end up everything but at the same time i had started to fall in love with the environment and the people. they were nice .

look how they appreciated their teacher. they did that not only to me but to other trainee teacgers too. well, one of the reason might be 'we're very lineant and sporting'. I just couldn't get angry to children. looking at their humble baby faces made my heart smile. tell me how to  be a stern teacher coz i just could not.

so, yesterday was the day. i had been waiting for such moment for two months. let's clean up. let's end everything. feeling grateful for whatever they had done for me though they were very active and talkative. oh kids. they wanted to share almost everything with you. the younger they were, the more ceritas.

Love is:

Stronger than iron
crueler than death
sweeter than springtime
it lives beyond breath”
-Juliet Marillier-

May they always be in Allah loving's hand.

Pantai Pasir Panjang, Pulau Betong

Assalamualaikum,

exciting and breathtaking view. words couldn't describe.

it was like my dream came true.

subhanallah.

years back, my dream was to have a camera and it came true.

years back, my dream was to visit beautiful places and now, it came true.

it's all about time.

i felt blessed for the opportunity. priceless. to experience staying outside of the fence.

i had to spend some money to rent a house but, in return, i got a chance to capture the beautiful scenery and to experience living in a beautiful place in Penang.

one more week to go till practicum two ends.
till then.
