reflection on the 4 days camping

salam,

nak dengar story telling??hihihih. without any props, here i present the reflection on the co-curriculum camping.

last week, we had to attend the four days camping in our very own college. hihi. it took less than 5 minutes to arrive at the campsite, so, in terms of time, we had no problem at all. we arrived on time and the activities started on time. despite all the turbulence about camping site, we had a  wonderful days and we gained lots of new experiences all along the four days.

pity on us!!!
college had no enough fund for outdoor activities and that was one of the reason why the co-curriculum dept decided not to take us anywhere. plus, we had a very large family members.of all, they were 200 plus of us. so, the could not find any suitable places that could accommodate the huge number of teachers. at first, they decided to bring us to ipsah but they canceled the plan last minute. i preferred to stay in our college (most ladies did i think) because we hated packing.

the day started with setting up the camping site. it was not easy when you didn't expect to get a very huge tent and it was not within our ability to set up the tent. we ended up requesting for a few new ones but we got the uzur ones..grrr! it took a few hours to just set up the campsite. oh well!!! we were all women. please don't expect us know everything about camping as only quite few of us who really into camping thingy. our camping site was in al falah area and we set up the tents on tar roads. hahaha! oh, well! that's normal for urban camping. my college located in the pulse of Penang where there were uncountable numbers of cozy condominiums surrounded us. what a breathtaking scenery! =O. woke up in the morning with those scenery. i'd not miss it in the future coz i'd never love such scenery. it kills the beauty of our country. it kills the green from day by day. merata-rata ada advert pasal living green. it's a cliche. they kill the green. how can they save the green environment. back to the camping story. we're not only learnt on how to set up the tent and anchored the tent so that the wind could not fly it away but we also learnt on how cooperation made our job easier and faster.

 ibrah di sebalik setting up the tents;
cooperation is the key to succeed. please!kill the selfishness and do accept others weaknesses. not everyone is perfect and we should realize that we are sent by Allah to our friends. why? to tolerate and help each others lah!moral of the story is please kill the selfishness in us when we are working in groups. it could deteriorate not only the relationships but also our work. no one's perfect and your're no one, so, you're perfect lah!ish2..nope. actually, everyone is perfectly imperfect but that shouldn't be a reason because our mind controls our action. do control your mind and souls.

we build our own furniture!
biar tak cantik rupa, tapi penuh kasih wanita!=)
yupp, we did it but i was just helping la. we had the sifu in our group. nothing to worry. i was the master in holding the bamboo stick.hahaha. everyone played our own part. some were cutting the bamboo into the shape needed. some were thinking of the design. some were busy thinking of how to tie up the bamboo. the conclusion is ' the process was not easy and i felt like lying down on the floor and slept throughout the night once it finished. therefore, do not complain if you find the furniture is expensive. it worth the time and the hardships of the carpenter. susah kowt. what made our work difficult was the bamboos. most of us got our fingers cut by the bamboo. first time experience holding the bamboo. experimenting and even use it as the cutlery for cooking. lepas ni bolehla buat perabot rumah guna buluh dengan ikatan seraya n etc. sapa nak kahwin dgn ahli ppim. kami boleh buat perabot rumah. jimat duit.huhuhu! =)

we had a few series of talks and seminar with our lecturers. don't ask me about gist coz most of the time, i think, i was dreaming. fighting not to fall asleep was not that easy when your body demanded to have a rest. i still remember the day when we had a talk from one of the PPIM lecturer. she kindly gave us 20 minutes rest interval and once she announced that, everyone was walking to the muslimat area and pengsan terus. she said ' terkejut saya tengok semua tidur dan saya tak sampai hati nak kejutkan'.  it really showed how tired we were.

the cooking activity was done on the second day. this was the best part in my camping diary. we enjoyed cooking so much. main masak-masak. it was fun when you have no one to say this was done wrongly and etc. huhu. cooking is a skill and sometimes, you are learning the skills indirectly from the past experience. plus, it needed patients and passion and a little bit of knowledge. those combinations would make you the best chef ever. acehh.  how can you cook if you don't even know the function of sugar, salt and tangerine. that was the basic ingredients in cooking. our theme was survival foods but it turned out to be not really a set of survival foods. xpela kn. while we were busy cooking, came a lecturer from the other unit and guess what she said. hihihi. she said 'bab-bab masak ni memang selalu menang dekat puteri islam'. kembang hidung kami! hilang letih kipas api. that was first time cooking rice using a bamboo stick. it's difficult but  hentaman kami agak mengena. =). mula-mula takut jugak sebab jadi tukang sukat air dengan cik S. kami punya selawat la sebab takut nasi lembik atau mentah. takut kena blame. hihihi. lain masak nasi dalam buluh.lepas ni bolehla masak lemang. kihkihkih.=P

that's all for now! till then...

regards,
me
