something big is finally ready to be released.
Life can only be understood backwards,; but it must be lived forward (Soren Kierkegaard)
Experience is the best teacher. teaching a rural school gives me a different view towards education system. Children are still children but the way they think that makes them different. They are playful because they are children but they are not rude. They may not be clever. They could not speak English like most of the children in town school but they shows the interest to learn at least. but, that goes to students in the first class and some in the second class.
I learn something. never underestimate you babies. your first impression might not be true. Up to 20% of them comes from problematic families. divorce. single mother. staying with the grandparents. Absentees is the most famous issue. If the teacher asks them why. one of the reasons is 'mom asks me to take care of my adik today'. teacher has to pick them up from their home. it happens. yes, it happens. teachers in that school do extra work with no income. picking up their pupils from home or else they won't come. last week, a group of teachers went to a house at 10 am. to pick up a students. as they arrived, all the windows were still closed. hehe. the whole family was still in lala land. you get what i mean. they don't take education seriously.
the end. let's not talk about the negativeness. i love the kampung environment. breathtaking view. fresh air. cool water. it surely is a new experience which I can't buy. note, this is my first experience. for those who have been in this field for years, they might not excited about teaching the rural school children. this school is considered as rural school as it is located on the other side of Penang. far away from the developing town.
oppps, back track. the villagers welcome us with a warm gesture, in fact, they sent us foods during Ramadhan and my housemates's students always give us food. we feel appreciated. they give us food for breakfast lagi. haha. waking up in the morning with someone knocking on the door and hand in a plate of fried noodles. alhamdulillah.
Life is the art of drawing without eraser. sure?
yeah!
we often go for sunset sightseeing. hihi. you can't buy the experience. for the villagers, it is no longer a fun for them to get the opportunity to see sunset and sunrise. for us, it is the whole world. we rarely get the opportunity because all of us live in town area. huhu. the sun will still rise but we rarely get the opportunity to see how beautiful it is when the colour of the sky begins to change.
till then,
