self reminder

assalamualaikum,

jaga rumah tangga baik-baik  -abuya pesan-

a sincere advice from a father to his daughter and son in law.

cries.

- A Tribute to My Father -

I know that no matter what
You will always be with me.
When life separates us
I'll know it is only your soul
Saying goodbye to your body
But your spirit will be with me always.
When I see a bird chirping on a nearby branch
I will know it is you singing to me.
When a butterfly brushes gently by me so care freely
I will know it is you assuring me you are free from pain.
When the gentle fragrance of a flower catches my attention
I will know it is you reminding me
To appreciate the simple things in life.
When the sun shining through my window awakens me
I will feel the warmth of your love.
When I hear the rain pitter patter against my window sill
I will hear your words of wisdom
And will remember what you taught me so well'
That without rain trees cannot grow
Without rain flowers cannot bloom
Without life's challenges I cannot grow strong.
When I look out to the sea
I will think of your endless love for your family.
When I think of mountains, their majesty and magnificence
I will think of your courage for your country.
No matter where I am
Your spirit will be beside me
For I know that no matter what
You will always be with me.

Your babies have grown so free and all of them are now ready to enter the next challenging phase in life.

life is a cycle. you don't have to run. you don't have to say 'wait!'. it will bring you to the destination slowly but surely. but, i wanna be a child again and forever though it is impossible, i know.

i stumbled upon this in a blog.

a life changing process

assalamualaikum,

You never arrive at the happiness, you just learn to live

If you carry the bricks of your past with you, you will build the same house. Life changing is never an easy process. I always expect to see 'nothing change' in life except growing older. I want the old me. I want the old of my sisters. my single sisters who always have time for me to hang out and chit chat and live peacefully without 'husbands and wives' rules.

we build our own cages. should i see ' being married ' is one of the cages? hehe.

oh, btw, i feel lonely after the day my sisters became Mrs.

oh, i just need some time to adapt with the new condition.

oh, i feel awkward to have another two men in the house.

oh, i need to cover my aurat properly even in my house. i need to wear tudung and long sleeve shirt all the time when they are home.

oh, i need to call them 'abang'.

oh, i need to share my sisters with others.

oh, i need to listen to 'husband and wives' jokes and 'in-laws' story telling.

oh, i lost my coffee mate. we often spend our precious time in 'Old Town White Coffee' for coffee treat.

oh, i need to adapt with lots of new things.

i hate but i've no other choice coz this life has taken me to that level.

one day, i'm gonna join their hectic lives as wives and soon, mothers. i hope, by the time i enter the stage, i'm fully ready to accept lots of 'upgrades' in life.

life itself was meant to be survived. that's why you must always ready with your survival kit to ensure your brain ready to react with lots of life changing surprises.

D.I.Y

assalamualaikum,

my current projects are making my own shawl and making fabric flowers. thanks for the expensive shawls on website. at least, they wake me up from my dream world. almost all night, i would spend some time browsing through online shops looking for the beautiful (cheap) shawls, dresses, skirts and blouse. but none of the online shops fulfill my target price. i wish i could buy everything on website. i wish i could wear beautiful clothes everyday. but i have no money for that.

those thoughts successfully spark the desire in me to make my own shawl, making fabric flowers, making pencil case. i only spend some money to buy the materials for my shawls whilst, for fabric flowers and pencil case, i just use the left over pieces. i spend less than 10 ringgit for pins and zips.

alhamdulillah, for the first time in my whole life, i feel totally satisfied with my own piece of work. i don't have to spend 10 ringgit for 5 cute fabric flower brooches. I don't have to spend 50 ringgit for a scarf since i could spend less than that for the materials for more than a scarf.

my piece of work. half moon shawl. no name for it.

later i'll upload some pictures of the fabric flower brooches and my d.i.y pencil case.

with the current economic crisis, we just need to acquire more than a skill. for example, sewing. you can save a lot of money if you have the skill to sew your own clothing, sew your house curtains, table tops and etc. look, we always have a way to face the man-made crisis. yelah, nak suruh gov turunkan harga barang, memang tak la. paham paham ajela. politik sampah. so, we should find a way to reduce our daily cost.

baru pandai menjahit sikit nak mimpi sampai ke bulan. hehe. that's so syahira.

till then. assalamualaikum.

on usrah

assalamualaikum,

coming from a family that has very little knowledge about usrah, you surely need to have a strong will and you really need to find a way to introduce it to your family. In my case, they know about it but they are not yet into it . who knows? sooner or later, they'll realize about the importance of attending usrah and understand why do we have to attend usrah instead of staying at home expressing our sympathy in front of the television upon what's happening now in Malaysia and other muslim countries.

deep in my heart, usrah is more than a circle. it teaches me a lot of things since i first started joining usrah in early 2010. If I could rehearse all the memories, I could tell you how much it had helped me in the process of growing up. When i was down, I always had my usrah siblings to comfort me and remind me how grateful I am to be born as muslim and to walk in the path of light. as a human, i always make mistakes, they never judge me. cause we always have each other to keep on reminding that we are not born to judge but lead and show and remind each other.

macam over pulak. ish. but, it's true.

since i'm now on holiday (school holiday/ teachers' holiday), i am invited to attend an usrah circle of working akhawat. most of them are doctors/dentists and my naqibah is a teacher. my respect goes to them. despite of their busy schedules, they are willing to spare some time for usrah.

as i said, the most challenging part comes from my family, my parents. they ask me thousand of questions before they could give me a 'yes'. i know their intention is good. they always want the best for their children. as i ask my father's permission to attend usrah in my naqibah's house which is located about 15 minutes from my house, he asks me thousands of questions.

1) Do you really have to go?
2) Siapa naqibah?
3) Siapa yang bagi pengisisan?
4) Siapa lagi yang pergi?
5) Rumah naqibah dekat mana?
6) etc.
7) Jangan balik lambat!

I don't really mind having to answer all sorts of questions but  what make me feel a bit worry is when they start to remind me about what had happened to my cousins and al-arqam. the past had passed. but we still have a lot of magazines and books about al-arqam and written by the founder of al-arqam. if i want to know, i would do some reading from all the materials that we still keep but i don't want. it's still there in the cupboard waiting  i have seen the effect in front of my eyes as it happened to my father's niece and nephews.

whatever it is, think and weigh the impact on your life before making any decision upon something. pesan abuya saya. bukan abuya al-arqam ye

i personally think, don't let the past steal your present and steal what your aims and hopes in life.

but, don't look down at our parents advises.

the end.

minta maaf kalau ada yang terlebih dan terkurang.

house hunting

assalamualaikum,

yeah! starting from next year, please call me, final year student/ senior. haha. hey, give way to you senior. hey, respect your senior. hey here and hey there.

the end,

last wednesday, we (my housemates to be and I) went for a house hunting in Seberang Jaya.

we're going to stay there for our final practicum starting from mid January, so, we need a house to sleep and do our lesson plans.

please, ask me about the price. ask me now. ask me now.

xpelah, let me tell you.

the price is crazy. the cost of renting on the rise in that area due to its massive development. two bedroom apartment costs us RM 1000 excluded power and water bills.

we finally get a house. alhamdulillah. a three bedroom, level 22, apartment. the rental rate is affordable for us, students, which is RM 550 per month excluded power and water bills.

hebat. tahun depan, rumahku ialah bangunan pencakar langit.

in the future, i think i already have an answer if anyone ask me about a house i would like to live in.

village house- check
apartment- check
bungalow - soon. =) . Aamin

till then,
enjoy your holidays (a special dedication to all teachers and students only!)

it's a holi holiday.

assalamualaikum,

nantilah kita sambung entry kahwin.

it's really a holiday for me from books and all sorts of academic chores. i wake up with two little munchkins waiting for my cute clown smile. yes, i'm the clown. sometimes, i could turn to be a lion clown but pity me, i'm a good lion. i dare not to eat the two little creatures though sometimes i think they deserve that punishment for being so annoying.

but, you know, it's just easy to tease the two little creatures

i make one of them stay outside if they make noise. sometimes, i just use my power to make them stop enjoying doing the noisy party. forgive me, sometimes, it is just an unavoidable actions from a not yet married aunt. the motherly hormones are not yet secreted by the body system. thus, i couldn't avoid from having 'leave me alone some time kids' sick.

but, kids are still kids. no matter, how bad you have treated them, they will forget easily. they still want my hugs and sloppy kisses. they need that every morning though. i just enjoy doing it while they are still young and they still want my hugs and kisses though i'm a bad aunt in this whole world, i guess.

this morning, i dress them up and decide to bring them to the nearest zoo. sadly, adik chooses the wrong time to throw her tantrum. i dare not to bring a moody lady for outing so, shall we postpone our plan, along? he said yes. let's take some pictures and do a project. acik tengah mood rajin. haha

off we go to kids wonderland. we play 'jual-jual mainan'. we take a lot of diva pictures. we dress up. we put on some make up. lol. xpe. xberdosa. we are not showing off to anyone. it's just for fun.

here we go. let's check it out our diva project and our gundam (robot) project.

2.5 y.o model.

new hairstyle.I get inspired by dora. haha. excuse the frizzy hair. she really looks like dora the explorer after bath time

i make a robot for him. it lasts for30 minutes before he turns it to be a treasure box to keep all his toys. he comes to me asking me to guess what's inside the box. pftt.

oh, toodles!

my sisters' wedding

assalamualaikum,

habis sudah penantian dan penat lelah. untuk sehari, seribu hari persediaan. duit tak usah dikira. takut dunia terasa gelap.

eh. xde kaitan.

30th Nov 2013 was a historical date for my family. we received two new family members. It took more than a year for the process of knowing each other and all sorts of process towards marriage. my fourth sister got engaged a month before my fifth sister and the decision to combine the reception for both bridegrooms were done two moths before the wedding reception (walimatul urus). However, the solemnization of my fourth and fifth sisters were done separately due to certain problems.

We started doing the preparations since a month before the wedding. We packed the door gifts with some helps from our neighbours. We cleaned up the house. We emptied the room that was used for the brides room. The process to it was not easy. things that I hated most was doing the packaging. Most of my sisters came home two days before the walimah and most of them came home with extra luggage which always demanded their attentions and limited them from helping us for wedding preparations. We're short of hands and luckily, my aunts arrived right at the time when we really needed extra hands to help us. I was wondering who would help me with my wedding preparations in a few years ahead.

i slept at three the day before to get the guestbook wedding corner ready. my sis requested me to crack my head thinking of a way to decorate the corner. erk. i had headache and all kind of aches thinking of how to decorate until my sisters' friends arrived home to attend the wedding  from all over Malaysia. lucky I had them to help me to create the mounting board. i just did the touch up, pasting and asking my second sister to help me with the decorations.

we felt so much bless once the majlis was over though it rained all day.

credits to k.ya and k.minah's friends.

to be continued.

*gonna attend a wedding reception tomorrow in Perlis and again, I'll be the maid of honour to my dear cousin.
