mukhayyam

assalamualaikum.

wow, it has been awhile since my last post. it takes forever for me to type even an entry. too lazy to sit down and click this keyboard. so mengantuk these days. asyik2 tido.

last week, i joined a mukhayyam. 'camping' in english. it was organized by ikram penang. ikram is an NGO. i've been joining usrah since i first came here. i joined the activities organized by the NGO sometimes but not always due to time management. lol. faham tak aku main ayat?

owh, i felt blessed coz this time i managed to join the mukhayyam though i was late one day. the day before mukhayyam, i went to ipoh to witness schu's solemnization. my classmate merangkap my gossip-mate. now, no longer since she's staying outside with her husband.

oh. back to mukhayyam. it was fun. not really relaxing. the schedule was tight from morning till night. in fact, we had a war just after maghrib prayer. pheww. i really enjoyed.

they said, the main objective was to prepare us for a real war soon. haha. xde lah. we're nothing comparable to al-qassam. there must be an objective. scroll down and read if wanna know more. kikiki.

they made us prepare for the war since after zuhr prayer. the war only stroke after maghrib. they wanted to see what would we do while waiting for the war to evolve. only one of my cliques brought along al quran and the other one brought along mathurat. so, what do u think we should do? recite the holy quran while waiting and not just sit back, relax and chit chat. pheww. i learnt a lot of ibrahs from the pretend war. so, friends, what did you do while waiting for another lecture or while waiting for your friends? Did you recite Holy Quran and you are just so busy scrolling down instagram to get up-to-date. DEEP. i always do the upside down. i spend time chit chatting and laugh. how aaa to change the habits?

the facilitators provoked us. they gave us no food. they conducted a small game in between of the waiting time. the group which won the game got food first. whilst, the other group needed to wait until the queen of the land decided to grant them foods.

the second game in between of the waiting period needed us to sent three representatives. one needed to memorize a long verse from the Holy Quran. I forgot which surah. The other two needed to pop the other clique's balloon by stomping on it.

when the war began, i felt like i was in a real war. we set up our fortress on the hill while the other clique set up their fortress down the hill. they reminded us not to become over aggressive since the creek was quite steep.

we planned  our strategy. each group must elect a commander. she sat up on the creek giving instructions. I felt surreal. like a dream. bajet alice in the warland.

we were given 40 bullets (balloons filled with water). we must target the enemy and shoot. they would be considered died if the balloon really hit their body parts and not by the sprinkles of the water.

in between of the war, my cliques had a biggest problem. world problem! we were running out of bullets. so, we had to face them bravely. hahahah. it's hard for me to describe. coz when you're in war, you would just go with the flow. i advanced forward with a few others while holding a tray. we ate in a tray sharing with 11 persons. huwaaa. we washed cleanly and used them as our shields. hahaha. creative kan. we throw tyres towards the enemies while marching forward so that we could ambush their fortress and steal away the panji. haha. coz if we managed to get the panji. we would be considered as the winner.

we (my group), finally, managed to steal away the panji and won the game. haha. as a present, i injured my left knee. huhu.

we, then, had a barbecue night. we had a muhasabah session. lotsa ldks. (in group discussions).
we enjoyed!

all in all, i loved outdoor activities more than talk sessions. hahahah. that's why i highlighted on this game in this writing. huhu.

i could memorize more only by 'doing' rather than listening and reading.

okay, habis dah cerita. now, let the pictures do the wrap up

usrahmates

Kem Rimba Kota where we had our girls camping. rockss!!

presentation session

they're all adiks.

and, where we had our war.

till then, assalamualaikum

on usrah

assalamualaikum,

coming from a family that has very little knowledge about usrah, you surely need to have a strong will and you really need to find a way to introduce it to your family. In my case, they know about it but they are not yet into it . who knows? sooner or later, they'll realize about the importance of attending usrah and understand why do we have to attend usrah instead of staying at home expressing our sympathy in front of the television upon what's happening now in Malaysia and other muslim countries.

deep in my heart, usrah is more than a circle. it teaches me a lot of things since i first started joining usrah in early 2010. If I could rehearse all the memories, I could tell you how much it had helped me in the process of growing up. When i was down, I always had my usrah siblings to comfort me and remind me how grateful I am to be born as muslim and to walk in the path of light. as a human, i always make mistakes, they never judge me. cause we always have each other to keep on reminding that we are not born to judge but lead and show and remind each other.

macam over pulak. ish. but, it's true.

since i'm now on holiday (school holiday/ teachers' holiday), i am invited to attend an usrah circle of working akhawat. most of them are doctors/dentists and my naqibah is a teacher. my respect goes to them. despite of their busy schedules, they are willing to spare some time for usrah.

as i said, the most challenging part comes from my family, my parents. they ask me thousand of questions before they could give me a 'yes'. i know their intention is good. they always want the best for their children. as i ask my father's permission to attend usrah in my naqibah's house which is located about 15 minutes from my house, he asks me thousands of questions.

1) Do you really have to go?
2) Siapa naqibah?
3) Siapa yang bagi pengisisan?
4) Siapa lagi yang pergi?
5) Rumah naqibah dekat mana?
6) etc.
7) Jangan balik lambat!

I don't really mind having to answer all sorts of questions but  what make me feel a bit worry is when they start to remind me about what had happened to my cousins and al-arqam. the past had passed. but we still have a lot of magazines and books about al-arqam and written by the founder of al-arqam. if i want to know, i would do some reading from all the materials that we still keep but i don't want. it's still there in the cupboard waiting  i have seen the effect in front of my eyes as it happened to my father's niece and nephews.

whatever it is, think and weigh the impact on your life before making any decision upon something. pesan abuya saya. bukan abuya al-arqam ye

i personally think, don't let the past steal your present and steal what your aims and hopes in life.

but, don't look down at our parents advises.

the end.

it's february!

Salam,

i was happy and still happy.this feeling's indescribable. i couldn't retrieve the reasons why i'm so happy.

to inculcate the love was never easy. i spent one and a half years to build such feeling. it suddenly grew in my soul for the pass few days. May it stay forever and keep growing from day to day.

betulla orang kata, when you started loving something, you would surprisingly feel easy to spend your time and everything yours for the sake of it.

i still remember, there was one time, when my lecturer asked me whom i love most here in my college. i replied, my usrah mates. i never think of such answer yet it came out spontaneously. i was in a big hall and sitting in between of my two closed friends. phew, rasa bersalah sangat. it should be them.

maybe, i could never feel such bonding outside of usrah circle and that's the real power of love.

ISLAHlah. CARI jangan tunggu.

(Al-Ahqaf : 15)

regards,
the happy bird

the one I admire

Tomorrow hopes we have learned something from yesterday.
-John Wayne

salam,

deep in her eyes, she's trying hard to be strong and patient. looking into her eyes, i bet everyone would have the same thing in mind. never in my whole life, i met anyone like her. her patient and positiveness inspired me. i would wanna be like her.

when it was time for her to speak out, i couldn't hold my tears no more coz i know that she's holding back her tears and she's trying to look cool. if i were her, i couldn't stay cool and relax and happy as her. the fact that i'm still and forever sick would stick in the inner side of me and hunt me for no reason but that's not her. there's no time for her to grieve for what had happened and still happening to her now and then.

to her, that was just a test. it really was a test but the fact that she could be such cool and positive made me proud of her. she's an ordinary woman.

i turned to someone next to me just to confirm whether the brain operation is considered as major or minor operation. the doc to be told me a fact that brain controls our body system and the small damage may cause our whole life. so, the answer for my qualm was major operation. =). yes, the one that i highlighted here was having a major operation which might affect her whole life. her calmness shadowed her illness.

looking into her eyes was more than enough to make me realize that i could be like her if i want t.o. the illness made her strong. i dun want the illness just to make me strong and be as patient as her coz me myself not sure whether i could face it calmly and positively like her. i  just want to highlight here that sometimes, we need such friend to make us realize how bless we are.

she's fighting not only for her normal life but also for us. for He will never test us with something that we are not capable to.

Ya Syafi, make my girl strong.

malam tu kami tadabbur surah maryam. semakin lama tadabbur surah tu semakin rasa yang kesabaran dia mungkin tak sehebat kesabaran dan ketakwaan Maryam r.a tapi dia mencontohi kesabaran Maryam r.a.

(Maryam 19: 16-26)

wassalam.

Pantai Teluk Bayu

salam,

it was my second time experience but there's something missing this time. the laughter of my former naqibah. huhu. how could i just forget her when she was the one who patiently influenced me to join usrah. to walk along the most beautiful path. =) i was blessed to have such chance though it was quite late actually. i was once a naqibah during my secondary years back in SBPIKP but the feeling was totally different. well, back then, it was rather compulsory for us to join the group of usrah and we didn't really know and understand the real meaning behind the word 'usrah'. it means more than 'a family'. i was lucky to get a chance to meet it again here. usrah is for everyone. usrah is a place to draw us closer to our actual aims in life.

Umar Al- Faruq berkata:

.......................................................

It was last year when I first stepped at such beautiful and peaceful beach. No amount of words come even close to describing the peaceful of the beach. The environment is still as peaceful and beautiful as last year. May the peaceful and beauty of the beach stay forever. Sayangnya, no pictures taken due to penat beriadah.  best!

Lots of love,

itu cinta

salam,

Sengaja nak berkongsi intipati bulatan satu cinta (onelurve) kami baru-baru ni. =)

Kata hati,

One Family One Lamp

salam,

i hope its still not late for me to pause the awakening moment.

at first, i was quite unsure whether i should join the charity walk or not because i was about to sit for the third paper in two days time. two days meyh. still had ample time to read actually yet the nafsu made me feel extra worried thinking over the small matter. it was a last minute decision to join my other akhawat(s)  for a project called one family one lamp. we rocked a night market located in Balik Pulau.

what a tremendous experience!

we started around 5.30 pm and finished by 9 pm. No, I was not there until 9 pm due to other responsibilities. Most of Ipg's students were under exam quarantine for two weeks. =(. not a good timing, I should say. It was a good experience to me and hoping to get another chances in the future. i believed, no one wanted to left the site half way done but there's something else waiting for us.

what we did was approaching people and let them know 'who we are?' 'what is our main purpose of telling them stories about Palestine' and answered their qualms and questions related. last but not least was telling them what they could do to help the Palestinians such as boycott Israel's products and donate in whatever ways such as money.

what made me feel excited to jot this down even it had been a few days away since the day it happened because

there's still so many of us who did not know and understand about the current issues in Palestine. C'mon, It had been 50 years plus since our saudara seislam were expelled from their own land.  Caknakah anda tentang Nakba Day?

contohnya: (reaksi daripada masyarakat berdasarkan pengalaman lansung)

  1. 'buat apa nak derma, depa tak derma apa-apa pun dekat kita'
  2. 'Haritu dah bagi..rombongan tu dah pi dah..nk kutip buat apa lagi
  3. Ramai orang miskin dekat Malaysia, kenapa nak tolong yang jauh ??
and etc.

moral of the stories:
read and read and read. keep ourselves equip with knowledge regarding our own saudara from all over the world. be considerate. be empathy. dig more knowledge 'bout our our responsibilities. yang tahu tolongla orang yang tak tahu. terangkan. iA, untung!

april

salam,

(mimik muka:serabut)
si tua : jadi, ok on...bunga-bunga yang lain ready x? kosong tak? (suara hati: takut)
si comel: sebenarnya kak, kami banyak sangat kerja.
si tua : selasa nak tak?
si comel : kamiiiiiiiii ada kelas sampai petang.petang minggu lepas kami xtido kak. pagi ada senaman roh. memang lentuk la sepanjang hari.

moral of the story: mari kita bekerja secara efektif sebab banyak keburukan daripada kebaikan kalau kita memilih untuk bekerja di saat-saat terakhir.

1) xdapat berbulatan (tempat top-up ni!!!!)
2) xdapat beribadah sunyi dengan tenang
3) xdapat bagi tumpuan sewaktu kuliah
4) mulala si syaitan laknatullah menusuk jarum halus, maka lahirlah tension.
5) jadilah adegan nangis2 sebab group mates self fish lah! keje xsiap lah!
6) mulala adegan aku kata kat hang, hang kata kat aku. anak murid kata dekat pendidik (kurang keberkatan ilmu di situ)

Nota kaki 1: sekarang musim esaimen di IPG, waktu ni la probability mujahadah kita nak ternoda. syaitan laknatullah bawak geng dia bisik jangan pi usrah, jangan solat lama-lama(xcukup masa ni), jangan baca quran banyak sangat (esaimen banyak atas meja), jangan jaga hati kawan (selfish is the key of success), kata kat pendidik banyak2 (pasaipa la depa ni xfaham kehendak pelajar) n banyak lagi. buat esaimen sampai siap weii. kih2..tapi hasilnya xsiap-siap jugak. ingat tu!!!

CINTA

salam,

tidur sambil tersenyum mimpi indah malam ni..
tiada kata-kata yang lebih indah selain alhamdulillah..
kalau dulu pernah merasai saat menjadi pengikut.
hari ini pangkat itu naik bertingkat-tingkat
terlalu mendadak.
dulu menjadi peraih hari ini menjadi pembekal.
dulu pernah hati kecil dan mulut comel ini  menolak sekeras kerasnya tatkala dikhabarkan berita 'kau terpilih untuk menjadi mata-mata rantai penerus perjuangan rasulullah s.a.w.
alasannya tidak mampu.memang tidak mampu.baru setahun jagung.baru merangkak.baru mengenal erti langkah. baru bertatih.
namun, takdir menentukan sebaliknya.
Allah maha mengetahui.
dicampakkan rasa cinta hinggakan tidur malam terbayang-bayang.
dicampakkan rasa cinta hinggakan hilang rasa takut dan payah.
hari ini bertambah cintaku
bukan kerana hadiah.
bukan kerana ayat-ayat penenang jiwa pemanis bicara

Amin."

my first experience. hoping for a smooth and wonderful journey together.  we're seven and the charming girl standing in the middle is their friend. a very nice and lovely girl. they are all nice, talkative, friendly and easy to mix with. praise to Allah, He grants me six beautiful flowers to adorn my garden named rabiatul adawiyah.
