what does a bridesmaid do?

assalamualaikum,

my first glance fell on your heart - Johann F.C Schiller-

that might be the untold words i guess. it's not our Malaysian culture to express the love through words. actions are not enough. i want verbal expressions. pfttt. that's what might happen if i'm the one who was sitting on the wedding chair that day.

nak doalah. i want a romantic prince charming. oh please.please.

bagi lempang jap dekat mek ni. haha

let's get back to the real purpose of this entry.

so, what does a bridesmaid do?

she has the honour of being the last to walk down on the aisle together with the bride

providing moral support at all time

holding the bouquet during the ceremony

photobomb. i like.

walk down the aisle in the procession

make the bride feels special. support her!

till then,
mi amor =)

bridesmaid terjun

assalamualaikum,
At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet  -Plato -
I remember reading a motivational book, Men are from mars, women are from venus. It's a motivational book to improve communications between mars and venus. I don't know how efficient it could be and how far it could leave the impact on a relationship coz i never finish reading the book though i've tried so many times.

tapi sebenarnya, i'm not gonna talk about the book.

my main intention is to share what is in the inner side of me.

marriage is not easy. marriage needs thousands of sacrifices and sometimes, one side has to sacrifice more than the other side. In the end, the burden will make the one who sacrifices more explode. hehe. i've seen it and i'm scared. right now, i shall believe myself that i'm not ready for that. i need more knowledge and i need to learn how to build a sturdy patient wall so i won't be the one who explodes even if i'm the one who has to sacrifice more.

anyway, two days ago, i broke my own record. BRIDESMAID. haha. yes! someone asked me to be her 'bidan terjun' bridesmaid. i never dreamed or imagined of being one even though my sisters will get married sooner. when my sister told me about it, i was like errr. i just laughed coz i couldn't believe what i just heard. she asked me a close question, which meant the answer must be either yes or no. however, i knew that i actually was not given any choices other than yes. so, i replied 'aku hentam ja la'.

the bride asked me to wear dark turqoise. i just nodded though i never owned any dark turqoise formal attire except for a dress. Lucky, my younger sister reminded me about my third sister's engagement kurung. without further thinking, i decided to wear the kurung since it looked a little bit special due to its shining outer garments. i chose to wear with my rainbow tudung.

my sister said, "you're not the one who's getting married, so just relax and wear whatever you think suitable and ready". tapi nasihat tak jalan. that's my first time experience. ofcourse, i felt nervous.

my cousin in law reminded me to do all sorts of things for our princess of the day. i needed to hold her phone.i needed to remind her when it's time to go for the second make up/dress up session. being me, i just told her that i'm not used to the situation and i didn't know how to use the bride's phone .haha. she had to teach me how to use the bride's phone and told me about the flow of the wedding ceremony. oh man! if i still had a choice, i would choose to give up and let them find someone else. haha. i'd never had any experience of using smart phone except my sisters' phone. ish. rasa terhina gila. bukan jakun. haha

it's not easy to be a bridesmaid but i enjoyed. at least, they gave me a new experience which was priceless and unforgettable. i had to accompany the brides to touch up her make up and dress up for wedding ceremony as soon as after the akad.

all in all, i felt blessed and proud for having such opportunity though they were my trial pack.

a little bit of reminder from a former bridesmaid. make sure you think wisely before you hire your make up artist or whatever related to your wedding so at least, you could help her to reduce the burdens on the others. wasn't it a crazy thing when you have to travel about 15 minutes (excluded the traffic jam)? going there just for 'make up' and 'dress up'. it's a waste of time. why don't you arrange so that the make up artist could come to your house instead of you, the bride and the groom, move from a place to another.

one more, for the future or soon to be bridegrooms, please be a responsible man. how to manage a family and be a leader  when you can't even show respect and be a responsible man in a reality life. it always happened. the future husband was too relax and cool and left everything about his own wedding only to his future other half. not every man but most. so far, i'd found more than one. that's enough to make me feel scared.

nah, the only photo that i asked my cousin to capture. i didn't even have photo with the bride and groom. so sad. lucky, they hired the photographer.

we slept at three, we woke up at five. that could be a strong reason why my eye backs was so clear.

sitting in the middle of the heart shape bench.
Who's gonna complete the other half of me?haha. soalan melampau.

oopss, congratulations to mt dear cousin, kak anis and her other half, abang faiz. May Allah grant happiness and long lasting relationship until the eternal world for both of you. May Allah grant both of you beautiful and pious offspring

next week will be my sisters turn. let'spray for a smooth sailing journey to the wedding.

eh. suddenly i remember a quote from my fb friend's wall, she said for what we are focusing more on the wedding when the one that is more important is the marriage. :)

toodles!

what's the plan? tell me

assalamualaikum,

hamboi kau plan sampai xhengat.

planning. it's a good thing but it could be the worst thing in someone's life. learn how to stop being obsessive.

i write based on an experience (definitely not my experience).

she is a woman who is so obsess with life planning.

she planned everything from A to Z. ever since she was a university student, she had started planning her life. everything. her life partner. her children's name. her financial status. her dream husband. it's definitely a wow because she was definitely an organized person. she knew what she should do and what her aim in life. to conclude, she knew herself well.

but, what happened when her dreams did not come true?

she gave up her life. she said things should be like this not like that.

i was talking to my mak and sisters when suddenly we came across to this topic. this a superb sensitive topic especially to the ladies. most of us live in a dream land. we have lotsa plans and dreams to achieve but with less action, we actually put everything into the drain. it's a waste of time to plan things without taking action.

i personally think, it's a good thing to crack our head to plan our life. at least, we have a guidance direction when we really need it. at least, we know what we want and what we should do next after we have achieved one level in our life.

if you ask me, i, myself, live in a dream world. i have so many dreams in my waiting list. when i was in secondary school, i dreamed to be a doctor. i planned to go to overseas. everyday, during Ramadan, i would read the middle pages of Malay newspaper. hihi. i would read and adore those who send their wishes from abroad wishing Happy Eid Mubarak. I wanted to do the same thing. I wanted to touch the icy cold snow. sadly, my plan did not come true coz Allah has  a better plan for me. I adored people who stepped into marriage life at a very young age. I wished I could have the same experience. In my plan, I am going to get married before I turn 23. hihihi. gain, my plan did not come true. according to my plan, by this year, i am no longer a single lady. haha

why should i rewind my broken plans? haha

I shouldn't.

the message from all the above story is just simple. We plan and Allah is the best of planners. we plan but not all will come true. it's a good thing to plan but please remember that we are no one to decide which will come true and which will not come true. therefore, let's put our trust in Allah.

you might want a rich handsome husband, but you never know what Allah has decided for you. Ask from him if you really want what you have planned and tajdid niat.

kalau niat ke laut, memang ke laut la.

one more example;

you want to get married to a rich man. you get what you want. but, your in laws are not the type that you wish you will get and face for the entire of your life. you question yourself why you are the chosen one to have to face such problem.

not everything we wish we will get in life. be grateful! you get your dream man, in return, you must try to accept all the mishaps and weaknesses of the man and your in laws.

my sisters are getting married soon! so, everyday, i would be listening to tazkirah on marriage life. its either that or be a responsible daughter even after you get married. haha

sebenarnya, moral of the story is belajar unruk bersyukur dengan apa yang kita ada/dapat je pun.huhu. melalut.

while they are thinking about weddings and marriage, this single lady is currently cracking her head thinking of money. haha. my plan to find a part time job got rejected by Puan Sri. for now;

till then,
>penganggur 2 bulan.<

Aku selipar berjasa

Assalamualaikum,

tidak berjenama mewah. bukan levis atau adidas. selipar berjenama kedai runcit. untuk 4 tahun setengah. terima kasih. tak pernah seumur hidup punyai sepasang kasut berusia 4 tahun setengah.

kadang, bukan jenama menjadi ukuran tahan lama. ini buktinya. jenama kedai runcit.mampu bertahan lama. kasut ni guna baling kucing nak melepas depan bilik. ampunkan aku wahai kucing. haha. kasut ni guan buat main tuju kasut dalam hostel. haha. kasut ni guna main lari-lari (aci ligan) dalam hostel. ko mampu?

ada kawan tanya, "syira, bila hang nak beli kasut baru. aku kesian tengok hang."

kesian kan. tapi sayang. kasut tu dibeli oleh abang ipar yang sulung dan dihadiahkan kepada kakak sulung sebab kak da mengandung. suami dia suruh pakai selipar berat sikit. takut tergelincir isteri dia. selipar pakai dekat hospital je pun. untuk tempoh tunggu bersalin. berapa hari sangat kan. balik rumah selipar tu terbiar xbertuan. waktu tu baru nak masuk maktab. aku kutip apa yang ada dekat rumah. hahahah. selipar kutip. kutip segalnya yang boleh kutipla. sederhana ja hidup ni. pre-loved items lagi syok. xpayah keluar duit banyak. handphone pun bekas kakak. maklumla xpernah ada telefon sampaila bila betul-betul perlu iaitu bila masuk matrik. jadinya tak kisah la. nak telefon sapa pun tak tahu. telefon mak uya ja. kesian. itu dulu la. haha. tapi ada jugak kawan message  yang pertama. rahsia. hihi.  : ) you know who you are. thanks for always being there. gitu. haha.

6 bulan pakai selipar jepun tapak haus. gembira je. beratus kali orang tegur. bergelar ratu alasan, sejuta alasan aku bagi. ayat terakhir berbunyi "biaqla selipar ni tua sama-sama kat maktab ni dengan syira". epic kan.

akhirnya. minggu terakhir di maktab. putuslah telinga selipar kesayangan. wallahua'lam. roommate gelak berdekah. agaknya puas hati dia. xlarat tengok selipar buruk. :)

orang Melayu kata, patah tumbuh hilang berganti.

tapi hadir yang baru, masih teringat pada yang lama.

signifikasinya dengan kehidupan.

this is life. it will reach its end when the right time comes.

selamat tinggal selipar. terima kasih kerana bakti dan padamu tersemat seribu makna kehidupan. kehidupan seorang gadis dari zaman mula nak bertatih sampaila sekarang, dah pandai berjalan pantas tapi masih gayat untuk berlari bebas.

habis.

feeling the heat; practicum

assalamualaikum,

The worlds full of pain
Days are the same
Our spirit gets broken but our hope still remains
The worlds full of pain
With nothing to gain
Remember there's always a rainbow shining after the rain

received a happy news this afternoon. finally, we managed to get the school that we aimed for the last few months since our second practicum was over. alhamdulillah. 5-15 minutes away from our
college. alhamdulillah.

one problem down, comes another two. huh.

whatever it is. always believe that there's always a rainbow shining after the rain.

here comes the first wave. house hunting.

talking about house. i remember promising a friend of mine to show off my first rent house. at least, i've got one experience. with the little experience, we're now more matured , sit back and relax when it comes to this matter. nothing to rush. things will get better.plan well before you hunt. make a list of house. weight you choices before you choose the best one though you're going to stay only for approximately 3 months.

three months is just short. the only thing that makes it long is the burden throughout the journey. teaching aids. lesson plan. tonnes of assignments. research. and all sorts of things.

the most important thing to consider is house mates. sometimes, we have to be selfish. we have to find the best mates just like we're choosing our life partner . if we choose the wrong housemates, we could end up living in a volcano. waiting for the right time to erupt.

alhamdulillah, during second practicum, we had no problem at all. i had a chinese house mate who was so kind and understanding. She woke up early in the morning and cooked fried rice and joined us for sahur. she joined us fasting. she carried 'islam' through her behaviour. let's pray for her. May Allah grant her hidayah. that's the best for her. She even asked us to find a muslim man for her and guess what she meant what she said.

for this final round of practicum, we have decided to stick together again. I hope this is the best decision that I could make for this time being. May A;llah grant me strength to be the best of example for my chinese friend. i tru;y believe the power of qudwah hasanah. we could change the whole world by changing our own behaviour.

let me share my first rent house pictures.

a small fully furnished house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. fully occupied with furniture and basic kitchen tools. the living room is just nice for 4 to 5 persons with a television and astro. the best thing about this house is the washing machine. hihi.

the small alley to our small house

the first living room and the door that separates our house and our friends' house. actually, it's a big house being separated into two. the first house has three bedrooms and ours has two.

master bedroom

till then,

post-exam update

assalamualaikum,

alhamdulillah,
exam is over. we have three subjects and among all, the third paper is the most challenging one. it's on assessment. phew. there's so much to read but i have very little time. well, last minute preparation. rocks! i finish reading all the stack up notes at 5 am this morning,  4 hours before the examination starts. very little preparation.

Some said, the third paper does not test what it should test. haha. I dunno what to say. but, for the first time in my whole life, I visit the ladies when the exam is going on. it shows what?? it shows that i dunno what else should i write. lack of ideas to goreng since the questions are quite weird and i'm not feeling well.

the day before, i was down with fever and sudden lower back excruciating pain. bed rest. no fun at all. dizzy. all in one.

two days before the final paper, my usrah mate did a surprise. so sweet. thanks for the red delicious apple and the wish. muchas gracias!

my only hope is to pass. my extra hope is to pass with flying colours. Aamin.

toodles!
